The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a adored, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Mr. 2. Bon Clay possesses the power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and anime.
Escola joins multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, including chief Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
