Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Celebrations began prior to the parade, with supporters lighting fireworks in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the win.
“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto said. “I adore this team. This city means everything to me.”
Varied Responses and Community Spirit
In contrast, the team owner received a cooler reception at the rally. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of cheers and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his address.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
